Galinsky Academy is proud to offer Jacksonville families the opportunity for a Jewish education through both the Dubow Preschool and the Martin J. Gottlieb Day School. From the earliest years of your child’s education, we will partner with your family to develop a deep understanding of Jewish tradition along with high academic standards. Our unique blend of religious training and proven classroom techniques are what set our institution apart.
As an independent private school, we are able to offer students unique opportunities they may not find anywhere else. Through differentiated instruction, engaging classroom techniques and implementation of religious training alongside academics, our students excel. We implement individualized instruction and low student-to-teacher ratios to ensure your student’s success. For over 75 years, we have focused on developing and educating the whole child—both the heart and the mind.

Experience the difference at Dubow Preschool
DuBow Preschool students receive exposure to both Judaic instruction and important academic principles from the earliest age. By implementing hands-on activities and unique learning techniques, we strive to equip our young students to enter our day school program with a strong foundation that will benefit them for years to come.
By applying to DuBow Preschool, you are setting your child on a path that aligns with your religious beliefs and prepares him or her for long-term success in the classroom. By implementing the STEAM program in our preschool, your child will receive instruction in the following:
- Science
- Technology
- Engineering
- Art
- Math
This collaborative approach allows us to individualize instruction for each child, meaning all learning styles can succeed in our classrooms.
Building a foundation of jewish tradition
At DuBow Preschool, we want to teach our students from an early age how to live meaningful lives. We believe that helping young students establish their Jewish identity is one of our most important jobs. Even our youngest students learn Jewish values that will guide them throughout life.
They study traditions that will bring joy and fulfillment, light Shabbat candles, and celebrate important holidays. By teaching them that they have a purpose, we hope to inspire them to change the world for the better.

The Garden
Our beautiful garden is a metaphor for our Jewish preschool program—significant growth in a short time. Our organic vegetable garden teaches children the importance of patience, care and working with their hands. We know children learn from tactile learning experiences. The garden is a place to seamlessly integrate science into our instruction and to help children see the fruits of their labor.
Academic Excellence And Tradition At Martin J. Gottlieb Day School
At Martin J. Gottlieb Day School, students receive training in important Jewish traditions and the Hebrew language while also receiving an education that adheres to the highest academic standards. Our goal is to prepare our students well for high school and beyond, which is why we focus on how a child learns rather than how he or she tests. The following are a few of the things that set our school apart:
- We work diligently to prepare for high school and beyond.
- We offer Jewish families a unique opportunity to provide their children with an education that closely aligns with their personal beliefs.
- We provide teaching that seamlessly intertwines our STEAM program (science, technology, engineering, art and math) with Judaic instruction.
- Our students are routinely admitted to the advanced-studies high school program of their choice, including Stanton College Prep IB, Paxon School for Advanced Studies IB, Mandarin High School AICE, Bolles and Douglas Anderson School of the Arts.
- We build thoughtful students who care about others, their community and making the world a better place.
North Florida families find that by applying to Martin J. Gottlieb Day School, they are choosing an educational opportunity that is unique and effective. Through research-based curriculum and Hebrew immersion, we offer an intersection of Jewish tradition and quality education that is difficult to find anywhere else.

Living Jewishly
Practicing the wonderful traditions and values of our faith is at the heart of our school. Our students learn Hebrew and the sacred lessons of the Torah on a daily basis, and day school students give back through weekly community service opportunities. Together, we celebrate holidays and discover new ways to make ancient traditions relevant to our daily, modern lives.
It’s not uncommon to see children learning about a 1000-year-old tradition on an app they created themselves. Thanks to cutting-edge learning techniques, passionate teachers, the powerful messages of the Torah and students bonded by heritage, Judaism comes alive in our school.
A Community-Focused School
We are a family of families. Our school atmosphere is friendly and loving, and our school size allows everyone from the Head of Schools to the support staff to know your child and your family. Many of our school parents and even grandparents are alumni of the school, which is a testament to the quality of education and warmth of the experience those families enjoyed.
We have an active Parent Teacher Association, and there are many opportunities for parents to become involved in all aspects of our school. Friendships between parents and between students formed within our walls often carry on for life. Our schools are a community in every sense of the word.
